Loda's Pugs of Many Colors Logo

Welcome to Loda's Pugs of many colors!

Welcome to Loda’s Pugs of Many Colors, the home to some very spoiled pugs! We are located in the heart of Salem, OR where we raise the standard colors of fawn, apricot, black and silver, as well as the white, cream, chinchillas and brindle colored pugs. We also have Chocolate and tan as well as black and tan.

In 2011, we began looking for our first pug. By taking the cheaper route, we learned there was a lot of truth to the statement “you get what you pay for.” When we brought home our bundle of joy, Daisy, we were crushed to discover just how mistreated she was. Daisy was infested with fleas, full of worms, and had no clue about potty training. From this experience, we decided to make it our goal to ensure your new family member is healthy, happy and well on its way to being potty trained.

All our adult pugs are American Kennel Club Registered (AKC). They receive a yearly exam by our vet and are up-to-date on worming and shots. Additionally, they have been Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE) tested.

The puppies are about 8 weeks old when they leave mom. Pugs are generally good with children and well-mannered in the home. Puppy Holding Fee

The Holding Fee of $200 secures the next pick of the litter and is included in the final price of the puppy. By leaving the Holding Fee and filling out the contract, you acknowledge there are no refunds and you are promising to buy a puppy.

In the event you cannot take the puppy due to unexpected circumstances, we will hold your payment for a puppy from a future litter.

Food. Love.

Trainings

Being a family lap dog combined with always being hungry lends itself to disaster when the dog is not properly cared for. It’s imperative that pugs receive appropriate amounts of exercise, proper food, regular cleanings, care and brain activities.

How to Train?

Pugs are food driven so treat training is usually the best way to train a pug. You can treat your puppy by simply hand feeding them a single bite of kibble.

How to Walk?

Every breed needs exercise and pugs are no exception! Remember not to walk your pug longer than you’re willing to carry it back to the house!

How to Equip?

Due to their short necks, and sometimes stubborn nature, walking your pug with a collar could cause unnecessary strain on the dog’s neck.

How to Play?

These guys love to play! They are friendly and energetic, so please keep them busy!

How to Care?

Keep your pug safe with regular check-ups by your local vet. It’s recommended that pugs have their nails trimmed regularly and be bathed only as needed.

How to Groom?

We suggest wiping down your pug with a baby wipe versus a full bath to allow the natural oils on the dog’s skin to properly protect from rashes.

How to Treat?

Pugs love food almost as much as they love their family! Use a meal as a training session by handing them one bite of kibble every time they do what you want them to do.

How to Feed?

Yes! Pugs are always hungry. You could never feed them enough. We recommend feeding them a small amount in the morning followed by a “dinner time” feeding.

What Adopters

Are Saying

Loda welcomed us into her home and introduced all her dogs, answered our questions, and showed us how they manage their grumble. Can’t wait to meet our first pug puppy!

Lynette Halsema

Oregon

Loda is not only the most loving and sweet breeder to her pugs she is extremely reputable! She does everything right including vet visits for new puppies and her home is extremely clean! I have had pugs my entire life and I have never met a breeder more educated and caring for her puppies and mamas. I would recommend her to family and friends for pug puppies. You cannot do better!

Laurey Maslyk

We got our sweet beautiful baby from Loda’s Pugs and had a great experience. We were able to watch her grow up from birth until the day we picked her up because Loda kept us informed with updates and wonderful pictures. Also feel that pricing was fair. We would definitely buy our next Pug from her no question!
